El Godello del Bierzo expresado por Palacios con gran finura. Fruta blanca —pera, manzana— con flores blancas, un toque de hierbas y una mineralidad de pizarra muy intensa y característica.
Palate
Fresco y tenso, con acidez vibrante y textura sedosa. Final muy largo y mineral con retrogusto que refleja la grandeza del Godello en manos del mejor de Bierzo. Un blanco de referencia absoluta.

Description
Ultreia La Claudina is a single-varietal white wine from Godello produced by the Raúl Pérez Viticultor winery, in the DO. Bierzo, in Spain.
The grapes come from a vineyard dating back to 1995 located in Valtuille de Abajo, in Villafranca del Bierzo, where Raúl Pérez, one of the most outstanding winemakers on the current wine scene, was born.
Ultreia La Claudina is made as if it were a red wine, in contact with skins and stems. The must ferments in an open 1,500-liter foudre without temperature control and, when spring arrives, it spontaneously generates a thin layer of yeast that covers the surface of the liquid — the so-called flor veil. The wine remains under this veil for 11 months. Finally it is bottled without fining or filtering.
An elegant, complex wine with many nuances. A limited production rarity that is unquestionably worth trying. Recognized with 96 Parker points in the 2023 vintage.
