TOMATIN 12 Years BAROLO CASKS 3 of 3 Italian Collection 2010
Description
Tomatin 12 Year Old Barolo Casks 2010 completes the Italian Collection trilogy. The three editions in the series were distilled on December 6, 2010, and spent ten years in ex-bourbon oak casks. In February 2021, each was transferred to casks that had previously held a different Italian wine (Marsala, Amarone, and Barolo), where it rested until bottling in June 2023.
This is the Barolo edition. Barolo, made entirely from Nebbiolo in Piedmont, is one of Italy's great red wines: structured, tannic, and full of red fruit. Its casks add a profile of spiced wine, dark chocolate, and red fruits to the whisky, with a citrus touch and smooth tannins that give it structure without losing Tomatin's approachable character.
Bottled at 46%, non-chill filtered and naturally coloured. Ideal for lovers of red wine finishes and for completing the distillery's Italian collection.
