Description
Barco del Corneta 2022 is a unique and expressive white wine that captures the purest soul of the Verdejo grape. Made in the vineyards of La Seca (Valladolid), it comes from old vines cultivated at high altitude, on sandy soils mixed with pebbles, which promotes balanced ripening and imparts natural freshness to the wine.
The grapes are harvested by hand, ensuring careful selection of the bunches. They then undergo a gentle maceration process and rest in French oak barrels for several months on their fine lees, which gives the wine volume, depth, and a very distinctive character.
On the nose, it unfolds fresh, natural aromas of wild grass, white fruits, citrus peel, and a subtle spicy undertone. On the palate, it is lively and elegant, with a silky texture, good acidity, and a long finish with mineral notes that invite another sip.
Perfect for pairing with light seafood dishes: fish, shellfish, rice dishes, salads, or soft cheeses. It is recommended to serve it chilled, between 9 and 12 °C, to fully appreciate its freshness and complexity.
