Palate
a syrupy and viscous texture that reveals flavors of candied orange peel, sultanas, milk chocolate truffles and hints of anise. It has a spicy character with notes of cinnamon, sweet chili and cloves. Long and vinous finish, with grape nuances reminiscent of Madeira barrels and a light smoke of aromatic wood towards the end.
Description
The Glenmorangie stills measure more than 5 meters high, which produces a very pure and elegant distillate, one of the most refined styles within Scotch whiskey.
Initially matured in American oak bourbon barrels and finished in Malmsey Madeira barrels.
