I.G.P. Wines from the Land of Castilla

La I.G.P.

La I.G.P.

The Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) Vino de la Tierra de Castilla is one of the most extensive and active quality certifications within the Spanish wine sector. Its production scope covers the entire autonomous community of Castilla-La Mancha, a region with a long winemaking tradition that is often considered the authentic “winery of Spain” due to its enormous production and historical relevance.

One of the aspects that characterizes this PGI is its great versatility. Unlike other designations of origin with stricter regulations, it allows winegrowers and wineries to make wines using a wide variety of grapes, both traditional varieties from the area and international varieties. This freedom favors creativity and experimentation, giving rise to very diverse wines: from intense reds made with Tempranillo or Syrah, to fresh and aromatic whites made with Sauvignon Blanc or Verdejo.

As a result, the wines covered by Vino de la Tierra de Castilla offer modern proposals, of good quality and with a very attractive quality-price ratio. These wines express the character of the La Mancha territory, but with a style adapted to current consumer preferences, always maintaining the guarantee of origin and a careful production process.
