Appearance

Intense garnet color with a medium-high layer, clean and bright.

Nose

Fruity notes on the nose, with blackberries and forest fruits predominating and balsamic touches in the background.

Palate

Good structure in the mouth, balanced with good acidity, elegant tannins and a long and pleasant aftertaste where the fruity and balsamic notes stand out again.

Description

Torre de Oña, the boutique winery of La Rioja Alta S.A., launches the fourth vintage of a wine that is sourced from the homonymous vineyard (Finca Martelo) of Torre de Oña, in the heart of Rioja Alavesa.

Aged for 24 months in American (80%) and French (20%) oak barrels, being racked four times by the traditional method. This wine has been left for 6 months in tank to round out the 'coupage'.
