Cherry red with cherry tones, in a thin layer violets predominate.
Very intense aromas of spices (cinnamon, mint, peppermint) with hints of vanilla, still mixed with tones of ripe fruit, clean and complex.
The entry is strong, where the tannins are noticeable and later leave a good passage in the mouth. Broad, balanced, those spicy and red fruit notes reappear in the retronasal. A lot of persistence.
16 - 18ºC.
Carramimbre Crianza is a red wine with the Ribera del Duero Designation of Origin, produced by Bodegas Carramimbre (Pago El Pingón SL), located a few kilometers from Peñafiel, in the province of Valladolid. It is made from a traditional blend of Tempranillo (Tinta del País), accompanied by a small percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon, from vineyards planted at over 750 meters above sea level.
The crop is grown on soils poor in organic matter, of clay-limestone and sandy type, with good aeration and natural drainage—optimal conditions for limiting yield and enhancing fruit concentration. The area's climate is continental, with marked temperature differences between day and night, which favors slow and balanced ripening.
After the harvest, the wine is aged for 12 months in oak barrels, a mix of American and French oak, followed by several months of bottle aging before release. With an alcohol content of approximately 14% vol., Carramimbre Crianza faithfully expresses the potential of its terroir and the winery's commitment to quality, typicity, and elegance.
