Description
The origins of Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut date back to 1846, when Maison Perrier-Jouët launched its historic Cuvée K, the world's first lightly dosed Champagne in the style now known as "brut".
Cuvée K was dosed at less than 5% sugar, a very low figure for a time when champagnes often contained up to 40% sugar. The Maison Perrier-Jouët became famous for its brut champagnes, which it was able to produce because its high-quality grapes required very little added sugar – a philosophy that continues to this day.
