Cherry red with cherry tones, in a thin layer violets predominate.
Very intense aromas of spices (cinnamon, mint, peppermint) with hints of vanilla, still mixed with tones of ripe fruit, clean and complex.
The entry is strong, where the tannins are noticeable and later leave a good passage in the mouth. Broad, balanced, those spicy and red fruit notes reappear in the retronasal. A lot of persistence.
16 - 18ºC.
Carramimbre Crianza is a red wine with Designation of Origin Ribera del Duero, produced by Bodegas Carramimbre (Pago El Pingón S.L.), located a few kilometers from Peñafiel, in the province of Valladolid. It is produced from a traditional blend of Tempranillo (Tinta del País), accompanied by a small percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon, from vineyards planted more than 750 meters above sea level.
The crop is grown on soils poor in organic matter, clay-calcareous and sandy, with good aeration and natural drainage, optimal conditions to limit yield and enhance fruit concentration. The climate of the area is continental, with marked thermal differences between day and night, which favors slow and balanced ripening.
After the harvest, the wine is aged for 12 months in oak barrels, divided between American and French wood, followed by several months of rest in the bottle before being released to the market. With an alcohol content close to 14% vol., Carramimbre Crianza faithfully expresses the potential of its environment and the winery's commitment to quality, typicality and elegance.
