Carramimbre Roble is a young red wine from Bodegas Carramimbre, located near Peñafiel in the Ribera del Duero, a prestigious wine region. It is made primarily with Tempranillo (Tinta del País) grapes (90%), complemented by 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, sourced from high-altitude vineyards with clay-limestone soils. .
The winemaking process begins with manual harvesting, controlled fermentation, and then aging for 3 to 4 months in American oak barrels (some batches include French oak), which gives it structure without losing fruity freshness. .
