Description
Brega 2021 is a high-expression red wine made in the D.O. Calatayud by Bodegas Breca (Grupo Jorge Ordóñez), a winery recognized for its commitment to Garnacha from old high altitude vineyards.
This wine is born from very old Grenache vines, many of them more than 80 years old, grown in poor soils and in extreme conditions that favor a great concentration in the grapes. The result is a deep, powerful wine with a marked personality.
In the glass it has an intense cherry red color with violet reflections. The nose stands out for its complexity, with aromas of ripe black fruit such as blackberry and plum, accompanied by spicy notes, mineral touches and light toasted nuances from its passage through the barrel.
The palate is broad, structured and enveloping, with ripe tannins and a long and persistent finish. Despite its power, it maintains a balance that makes it elegant and very enjoyable.
Brega 2021 is ideal to accompany red meats, roasts, game or cured cheeses. A perfect wine for those looking for intense Garnachas with character.
