Antidote Wineries

Bodegas Antídoto was founded in 2011 in San Esteban de Gormaz (Soria), in the easternmost and coolest part of the Ribera del Duero. It is the project of French winemaker Bertrand Sourdais, who arrived in Soria in 1999 drawn by its old vines, and David Hernando, an agricultural engineer and local winemaker.

The winery works more than 600 small plots spread across the towns of the Soria riverside, many of them old vines, some pre-phylloxera, planted at an altitude of around 1,000 meters. An almost family-like network of local grape growers tends each plot using traditional methods.

The result is fresh, refined, and highly distinctive Tempranillo reds, such as Antídoto, La Hormiga de Antídoto, and Dominio de Es, which reflect Soria's extreme climate and soils.
