Appearance

Intense ruby color, clean and bright with elegant pink trim.

Nose

Complex, with a first hit of raspberries, blueberries and blackberries that give way to balsamic, with delicate spicy notes of licorice, cloves, peppers and pastry.

Palate

Elegant and balanced, transmitting freshness with stately tannins. With a long aftertaste where memories of red fruits and spices appear again.

Description

Torre de Oña, the 'boutique' winery of La Rioja Alta SA, launches the fourth vintage of a wine that is sourced from the eponymous vineyard (Finca Martelo) of Torre de Oña, in the heart of Rioja Alavesa.

Aged for 24 months in American (80%) and French (20%) oak barrels, racked four times using the traditional method. This wine was then left for 6 months in tanks to round out the blend.
